New management systems fully implemented at Bigent 01/07/08
As part of our ongoing work towards external accreditation we are now operating to ISO 9001 & 14001 standards across the company in readiness for audit.
New machinery for Bigent 01/06/08
Bigent has now taken delivery of the HAAS VF-7D SE Vertical machining centre with 4th axis capability. The machine has a capacity of 2134mm x 813mm x 762mm. The large X axis capacity will enable us to take on work we were unable to do previously and will expand our customer base.
New machinery for Bigent 01/05/08
Bigent has now taken delivery of HAAS CNC Toolroom mill Model TM-1 with 4th axis interface. The machine has a capacity of 762mm x 305mm x 406mm. This will allow us to manufacture one offs or large batches with the same efficiency and have the capability to resource production on to our machining centres with the same programming.
Bigent has moved to new premises 01/04/08
Bigent has now moved to new premises at Summit Crescent, Smethwick, less than a mile from M5 Junction 1. The new site will allow Bigent to grow further and will accommodate new machinery on order to increase the company’s capability. Many thanks to all involved for a job well done!
New machinery for Bigent 01/03/08
Bigent has now taken delivery of new machinery, which significantly increases the services we can offer to our customers and includes:
Leadwell CNC Lathe Model LTC 25BLM equipped with live tooling,
with a turning capacity of 305mm dia x 1050mm long
Technika centre
grinding machine - this will give us the facility to precision
grind the centres holes in components before final grinding
ensuring highest possible accuracy
Parlec tool presetting machine
- this machine will allow us to accurately set tools off
the machining centres and so speed up the time from job
to job.
